From start to finish, the focus is on developing a personal action plan in order to solidify your commitment to an informed sensitive practice. The course is built around the most up to date research in the areas of social and cultural psychology, as well as cognitive ecology.
Instructor led webinar:
The instructor led webinar is a one-on-one 5 hour course that can be split into 2 sessions lasting 2.5 hours each. Webinar participants have completed the training in one-day or spread over one or more days. The sessions are scheduled at your convenience and can be held as a one-on-one or group session. We also provide a basic reporting of the session at no extra cost.
Because of the one-on-one nature of the course, webinar participants can't hide. They must interact with the facilitator. The success of the program is driven by our focus on requiring participants to commit to taking ownership of their attitude and behavior. In addition, we suggest requiring attendees to take notes using a PDF notebook that we provide free of charge.

Because learning is a social process and each learner has unique needs, self-study participants are never left alone. A facilitator will always be there to provide confidential help along the way. The fancy term for the help we provide is scaffolding. Over the past 4 years, self-study participants have completed the course in 7 hours, with some participants choosing to complete it in 1 day or over the course of a week.
Regardless of the format you choose, the training session is divided into three parts, Awareness, Analysis and Action and can be customized to meet your specific needs.
The Awareness and Analysis sections will help participants uncover unconscious insensitivity. Self-awareness, through guided reflection, is an important step in developing a social and emotionally intelligent practice.
In a free and democratic society, no one has the right to tell you what to think. However, organizations have a legal right to set boundaries on employee behavior. Because our beliefs and expectations affect our interaction with clients and coworkers, it is important to bring them into conscious awareness and take steps to mitigate their influence. The end goal of the introspective process is to aid participants in working with "others" outside their comfort zone.
The Action section provides participants with tools to communicate effectively in a supportive and sensitive manner in order to deliver the highest service possible.
In the self-study and webinar format, the section also includes a special module for teachers, team leads, supervisors and managers that will help them take a more measured and sensitive response when dealing with poor performers.
At the close of the workshop, the facilitator will guide you in developing a Personal Action Plan. An Action Plan is a list of tasks that you have to carry out to achieve an objective. It differs from a To Do List in that it focuses on the achievement of a single goal. Wherever and whenever you want to achieve something, draw up an action plan. This allows you to concentrate on the stages of that achievement, and monitor your progress towards it.
